Optimal Scheduling Techniques for Charging the Batteries of Electric Vehicles under Time-Of-Use Pricing Using Binary Integer Programming

This paper presents new optimal scheduling technique for charging the batteries of Electrical Vehicles (EVs) where the electric supply companies offer differential pricing depending on the Time-of-Use (TOU). The optimal schedule minimizes the total chargingcost of the battery of a specific EV. At the charging station, the arrival and departure time of the EV is taken into consideration along with the required charging power sequence.
