Modelling and Simulation of Non Linear Tank

This paper describes a nonlinear model of conical tank level control system and real time system designs are analysed and their implementation in SIMULINK is outlined. Level control of a conical tank is a complex issue because of the nonlinear nature of the tank. For each stable operating point, a First Order Process model was identified using process reaction curve method; the Control is done and comparison of the synthesis method and skogestad method is clarified.
